Golf Pride MCC vs MCC Plus4
The MCC and MCC Plus4 look almost identical but play differently. Plus4 builds in the equivalent of extra lower-hand tape. Here's who each one actually suits.

The Golf Pride MCC and MCC Plus4 sit next to each other on every grip wall and look almost identical. Both are cord hybrids: brushed cotton cord in the upper hand for all-weather traction, softer rubber below for comfort. The difference is the lower hand, and it is bigger than it looks.
The one real difference: taper
The standard MCC is built with a normal taper. The MCC Plus4 is built with a reduced taper. The name says how much: Plus4 plays as though you added four wraps of build-up tape under the lower hand only. The bottom hand sits fuller and more even with the top, while the upper hand stays the same.
That fuller lower hand quiets an overactive bottom hand. It reduces the tendency to flip the club through impact, promotes lighter pressure, and for a lot of players calms down a hook or a pull. If your lower hand feels too busy or you grip it too hard, the Plus4 is the reason this grip exists.

The Plus4 is offered across all four sizes, while the standard MCC sticks to standard and midsize. Weights are within a couple of grams of each other, so weight is not the deciding factor here.
Which one should you play?
- Choose the MCC if you like a traditional feel and want your lower hand to release the club freely. It is the safe, familiar choice.
- Choose the MCC Plus4 if you grip too hard with the lower hand, tend to hook or pull it, or simply like a fuller bottom hand. The reduced taper does real work.
